Selecting the right technology solution for your firm can be overwhelming, especially with the wide range of options available to choose from. At Baker + Cadence Solutions, our goal is to help you navigate your options and provide the best technology solutions to meet your firm’s needs.

Worldox is one of the most comprehensive and cost-effective document/email management solutions, and we have been proud to represent them for over 20 years.  We thought this was a good time to review all the deployment options with Worldox.

Worldox offers several deployment options. These options create flexibility and allow us to deploy Worldox in a way that meets the needs of your firm.

On-premise

Worldox GX4 Professional is an on-premise installation, with the software installed on-site on your server and network infrastructure. All Worldox managed documents are located on one or more of those networked servers, making it easy for your users to quickly access the documents they need.

Enterprise

Worldox GX4 Enterprise is a version of Worldox GX4 Professional that was adapted for multiple office remote access environments. It features an add-on server component that enables quick connectivity for users, whether on-site, in a remote office, or on a computer at home.

Worldox Web 3.2 is included in the latest release of GX4 Professional. At no additional cost, it enables you to access documents quickly and easily from any location with any devise with an internet browser.

Worldox GX4 Cloud

Worldox GX4 Cloud is a software-as-a-service-based subscription model. All documents are hosted in a cloud server and data center provided by Worldox. Users can access Worldox GX4 Cloud anywhere, through any internet connection. Worldox GX4 Cloud looks the same as Worldox GX4 Professional and has the same features. The difference is that the server is hosted by World Software.  They have datacenters in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Great Britain.

Hosted Cloud

Worldox GX4 Professional can also be installed on a hosted cloud service such as Amazon Web Services, Pro-Cirrus, or Microsoft Azure. Installing on a hosted cloud server allows you to continue getting value from purchased user licenses for Worldox GX4 Professional.  For instance, with Microsoft Azure as your hosting provider, you transfer your purchased licenses to their hosted cloud service tenant. A virtual desktop configuration is set up with Worldox compatible applications. Your resources on the hosted cloud server are easily configurable. For example, you can add a hard drive as needed and set up access from anywhere. You can turn down your resource options between 12:00 am and 6:00 am to help lower costs. And hosting Worldox GX4 on Microsoft Azure also means that Mac workstations are supported. Baker + Cadence Solutions can configure your Microsoft Azure tenant and quote a Microsoft Azure environment for your firm.
