  1. What is surcharging?
    Surcharging is a service offered by Tabs3Pay that allows firms to take advantage of the convenience of credit card processing while minimizing the expense of processing fees. While processing fees are normally paid by the firm, with surcharging, credit card fees are paid by the cardholder instead.
  2. Can I view a demonstration of Tabs3Pay before signing up?
    Yes! Visit Tabs3Pay.com and click the “Schedule a Walkthrough Demo to see Tabs3Pay in Action!” link to schedule a date and time for your 15 minute demonstration.
  3. How much does it cost to sign-up for Tabs3Pay?
    There is no initial fee or subscription required to sign up for and use Tabs3Pay.
  4. Which cards can I accept with Tabs3Pay?
    Tabs3Pay allows you to accept credit cards from Visa®, Mastercard®, Discover®, and American Express®, Diner’s Club®, and JCB Card®, as well as most debit cards.
  5. Why should our firm consider accepting electronic payments?
    Accepting e-payments is more convenient for you and your clients, it is faster, reduces the need for collection calls, reduces the risk of mistakes, fewer right offs, etc.
  6. Where is Tabs3Pay available?
    At this time, Tabs3Pay is limited to firms within the 50 U.S. states. It is not yet available to firms outside of the U.S., or in U.S. territories.
  7. I am already integrating with ProPay and/or LawPay for e-payment processing in Tabs3 Billing or Trust. Can I also use Tabs3Pay?
    You can continue to use ProPay in addition to Tabs3Pay. However, Tabs3Pay and LawPay cannot be used at the same time.
  8. If I switch to Tabs3Pay, what will happen to my existing LawPay or ProPay payment links?
    Your existing LawPay/ProPay links will continue to work until they expire and payments made through them will import into Tabs3 Billing, unless you completely disable integration with their processor. 
  9. How can I sign up to accept credit cards through Tabs3Pay?
    You can sign up and enable Tabs3Pay in Tabs3 Billing or Trust. In the Quick Launch, search for and select “Tabs3Pay Web Portal,” then click the Let’s Get Started button. 
  10. How does Tabs3Pay affect my other Tabs3 Software applications?
    Tabs3 Billing and Trust are the only applications that are directly affected by Tabs3Pay. Payments made via Tabs3Pay, like other payments, will still integrate to Tabs3 General Ledger as they do normally.
