In March Workshare released an updated version of their Workshare Compare that improves the integration with Worldox GX3.  Worldox GX3 users can select documents and versions of documents from Worldox to compare and can save comparisons into Worldox.  Although this could be done in prior version of Worldox, the integration was done by Worldox not Workshare, now the integration is being done by Workshare Compare along with new functionality added in Worldox by Workshare.

With the new release, Worldox users can select documents to compare with Workshare Compare from within Worldox, or from within Workshare Compare, or from within Microsoft Word.  Whatever method the user selects, the integration allows for access to both Worldox and Workshare Compare.

In addition, new Right-Click Options have been added to Worldox by Workshare. With a right-click on any file in a Worldox file list the user will see the following screen:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If the Convert to PDF option is selected, the file will be become a PDF file and can be profiled with Worldox, and the description of the original file will be the defaulted description in the profile.  This saves the user from having to use another application to convert to PDF and re-profile the created PDF.
